Image Whale Watching- Narooma has an international reputation as one of the best whale-watching spots in the world. Pods of up to ten whales are not uncommon and often swim to the charter boats, displaying a measure of curiosity. 1994 saw the first dedicated Whale Watching Tours start from Narooma. After seeing large pods of migrating Whales during the months of September through to November, Narooma Charters decided to run specialized Whale Watching Tours.

Its lighthouse has operated since it was first commisssioned in the late 1800s and the stories, photos and documents that record its working life, provide a fascinating insight to the life of isolation led by its keepers and their families.
